An initial analysis does not always require new software. Existing fault and maintenance records can reveal recurring tasks.

Identify data sources

Review maintenance reports, fault notifications and spare-parts feedback. Check equipment names and timestamps for consistency. Analyse a copy of existing records without changing equipment operation.

Choose a question

Examine which assembly fails repeatedly or which alarms often occur together. Remove duplicate records and document missing information. A small clear analysis is easier to verify than a large report with unclear assumptions.

Review findings with the team

Discuss patterns with production and maintenance. Records may represent an event incompletely. Compare with operational experience before selecting actions. Agree any automated exports with responsible system owners.
