Competencies of our PLC Programmers / Automation Engineers:
- Develop, test, and deploy PLC control software (Siemens, Beckhoff) for automated machinery
- Ensure all programming adheres to internal automation standards and best practices
- Design and implement advanced features including collision avoidance, product tracking, calibration, recovery, and rework workflows
- Support machine commissioning, debugging, and integration with electrical/mechanical interfaces
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior automation technicians
- Collaborate closely with electrical design, software, and commissioning teams to ensure system reliability
- Maintain detailed documentation, version control, and knowledge sharing
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Technical Informatics, or equivalent technician pathway
- Hands-on expertise in Structured Text and machine-oriented programming
- Familiarity with industrial safety, motion control, and networked automation systems
- Enjoys working in fast-changing environments with global travel opportunities
- Strong communication skills in German and English with a collaborative mindset
