Competencies of our CNC Lathe Operators:
- Independently set up, tool, and operate CNC turning centers, ensuring dimensional accuracy according to drawings
- Create and optimize CNC programs (ShopTurn or equivalent) for precise parts of medium complexity
- Ensure production quality and throughput, monitor cutting data and process stability
- Perform self-inspection using micrometers, gauges, and CMM according to QA requirements and document results
- Read and interpret detailed technical drawings and apply material-specific strategies
- Support multi-machine operation and shift work; consistently implement 5S and safe working practices
- Cooperate with process engineers and programmers, drive Continuous Improvement and reduce downtime
Qualifications:
- Completed vocational training in machining/toolmaking with proven CNC turning experience
- Confident use of ShopTurn or comparable programming environments
- Solid understanding of clamping technology, tools, and machining physics
- Experience in quality measurement and documentation
- Clear communication and a proactive, practice-oriented working style
