Industrial mechanic (m/f/d)

Purpose of the role

Maintain mechanical functionality and availability of production equipment through assembly, maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, inspect and repair machinery and production equipment.
  • Analyse and resolve mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults systematically.
  • Assemble, dismantle and align assemblies and machine components.
  • Manufacture and adapt spare parts against technical drawings.
  • Install, commission and modify equipment during worldwide assignments.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and contribute to technical improvements.
  • Document work and report wear and spare-parts requirements.
  • Follow company requirements for occupational safety, quality and environmental protection.

Technical requirements

  • Completed training as an industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician or a comparable technical qualification.
  • Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Confident use of technical drawings, measuring equipment and workshop tools.
  • Preventive maintenance and maintenance software experience is an advantage.
  • Welding knowledge is desirable depending on the assignment.

Independent, careful and solution-oriented working style; technical understanding, safety awareness, reliability and teamwork.

Assignments and benefits

  • Worldwide assembly, commissioning and service assignments; willingness to travel internationally and spend several days or weeks abroad.
  • English for technical coordination on site; category B driving licence.
  • Willingness to work shifts or be on call where required by operations.
  • Company car, including private use.

Collaboration and reporting

Work with production, electrical maintenance, automation and external service partners. Report to the maintenance lead.
